The ideal candidate to join Mission Health's IT team as the next Software Development Manager will have a strong mobile application development and coding background in addition to possessing the ability to direct, mentor, and lead teams.  The ability to apply a wide degree of creativity and latitude in performing job functions is an essential component of the position. 

 

Role Summary: Leads software development and testing activities consistent with Senior Leadership’s objectives. Responsible for the quality of software developed, from code architecture to end-user experience.

 

Specific job duties: Develops and manages software engineering teams and customer relationships with organization-wide departments and affiliates subject to the deliverables of those teams. Frees team members to focus on the product(s).

 

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or formal training in a technology-related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in technology or management

 

Required Experience: Minimum of seven years of related technical experience with 1-2 yrs or equivalent of lead and/or supervisory experience. Proven and demonstrated expertise with a variety of software development field’s concepts, best practices, procedures, security, integration, and quality assurance techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead experienced technical staff in a wide and everchanging spectrum of technology research. Proven experience in complex systems analysis and problem resolution, project management, technical hardware & systems architecture integration, programming, documentation and large-systems implementation. Proven communication skills. Demonstrated ability to apply experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Proven accomplishment of a variety of technical and analytical projects.
